Yes I just interviewed last week, and they said I will get $7500 as a 135 pilot. Not sure when it's paid out though, after you finish IOE I think

Laptop for initial ground school: Useful or unnecessary?

There are some CBTs and they don't work on an iPad. If you don't bring a laptop, you'll be spending your lunch hour and your breaks trying to get the CBTs done, but you won't be the only one.

Thanks. I assume the CBTs will not work on the Surface we will be issued? Or are those distributed further down the line?

Good question, I've never tried to do one of the CBTs on the surface. They do have some computers that you can use in the break room. There are two shuttles in the morning from the hotel, so if you take the early one then you can get some extra time to do the CBTs if you decide to leave your laptop at home.

Bring it for sure if you have one. I wouldn't go out and buy one though.

I already have one fortunately so that's one less thing to worry about. While I'm asking the newb questions here is another. I know it's business casual for training but do most stick with button down dress shirts or are tame polo shirts allowed as well?

Polos are acceptable too and easier to keep neat in my opinion. I used my laptop in initial and upgrade for typing up notes, you'll def find a lot of study guides floating around too
