If making a bunch of free money to never work is not your fancy, come fly the CRJ as a new hire, and they'll time you out, and your seniority will progress quickly as long as you're not constantly transitioning to more westerly bases every few months. I'm not joking. I'm serious. I've enjoyed my time here. It has been an excellent career move. :)

Somebody figgered it out. SJS won't pay the bills nor gain logbook hours needed to move on down the road.

Things will change for the 175 guys. It's not going to always be this slow. You guys have a lot of flying that has not started yet.

SJS? Is that when they assign you to the aircraft telling you it's the plane to go to and then you find out 8 months in it's really not? Yahhhhh it's a bad day when you are thinking about transitioning to the CRJ because you would like to fly more then a 3 day every 3 months
When the senior F/Os who are currently being bypassed transition, all those SJS guys will get to experience the real SKYW reserve experience, 5 day TDY to MKE to sit reserve in a hotel, week after week, flying one or 2 legs once in a while, and wondering what happened. It would be funny if it weren't sad. |
The crj isn't much lighter than the erj in chicago on the CA side. FO side is very heavy on ERJ, 48% odd coverage

Those 5 days by the pool (interrupted by a quick SFO turn) were tough, I gotta tell you. |

As for pictures...well, I'd have been tossed out of the pool courtyard for being the dirty old man taking pics of all the bikini babes! Of course, the next OBR sit I did was in ORD. In the winter. |
