My fatigue and emergency calls have gone to about once per month now. Anyone else higher? It's frustrating when all I ask for is a couple days off for the entire month, and I have to work a local or standup that was put on my schedule for layer 7. It use to no problem getting rid of a short trip. Now you can't.

How many days off are you getting?

Top 30% in my base. 12 days off for the month. A couple of crappy locals forced on my bid that I won't be able to get rid of to try giving me the minimum hours needed. (This month it was 88)

Any junior CRJ Captains on here? It's been a minute since I was on the plane and wondering how the QOL is being ORD based. Trying to think of the pro's and con's of taking the upgrade in it should it come up soon.

They pick up more and more flying, keep begging us to help out and the result is apathy...

It's called utilization, and SkyWest is brilliant at it. Getting the most hours out of each airframe and pilot is actually smart. Not sure what you can do about it though, which is probably why they're pushing you so hard.

The company lets you call out once a month with no repercussions? Not trying to be an ass, just genuinely curious.

It's not quite once a month. And I haven't heard a thing though aside from the automated email I got a couple months ago.

I've had to call in emergency 4 times this month for a family medical issue that went worse than expected. Talked to my CP told him what was up and he said "family first". He said you will probably get an automated nasty gram, just disregard it.

It seems if you are honest and not chronic, it's a non issue?

I know there are guys calling in more than I am. Some just can't do 95 hours a month with sick kids at home. I'd be curious to see if call ins are going way up.
