Shouldn't they have assigned the trip prior to me being released and then I would've had to acknowledge them?

If they give you two trips during your pending, they owe you a hotel in your base if you're a commuter.

You've pretty much defined the employer-employee dynamic just about everywhere.

Then again, life at the top of the SFO 175 list can't be too bad...

I haven't worked anywhere else lately, point is, to remember what its like for everybody from the plug to the #1 line guy. I remember what reserve is like, as well as for being he guy who was just issued a full month of standups.

Thanks for the response. They only ended up giving me a local that is very commutable so it didn't end that bad.

you can ignore. but they have until 72hrs prior to your original show to reassign you to other stuff. take a screenshot at exactly 72hours then turn off your phone and forget skw.

if they call you after 72 hrs, don't answer, if you do, make sure they know you are 100% pay protected for your trip and whatever they call you about is up to you to negotiate pay ON TOP OF WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE BEEN DISPLACED FROM

So do I get paid for the original trip plus the one the local they assigned me or is it just the pay for the original 4 day to do the local?

Original pay for the 4 day only. BUT, you can pick up any open-time trips for pay ONTOP of your displacement pay.

My best story ever. I got displaced from a 24 hr. 900 4-day trip. Next day the same exact trip came up in open-time. So I picked it back up, got paid 24 hrs, for the original displacement, and another 24 hrs for actually flying it.

My record....displaced from 27 hour 4 day. Another crewmember had a $400 incentive on a 24 hour 900 4 day in the same footprint. Got 51 hours of pay for 4 days of work. That was a good week, great when things work out. Unfortunately most times I get reassigned to some garbage local or standup outside of the 72 hours.

They usually send me to a different base to cover a couple of legs.
