I'm a regional refugee. Comair, Pinnacolaba, SkyWest.

I have heard some SAPA stories but I flew with MP a few times and what they are saying is not adding up. I know 2 capt in 2 diff bases that 95% of the FO's bid avoid, and MP gets let go for be disrespectful to a crew member, something isn't adding up.

So how does skywest compare to your comair/ pinnacle days? Do you regret leaving pinnacle? Would you rather have the old "fly it and grieve it" , maybe it will see arbitration in a few years? Just curious, what are your realistic expectations? If sapa was certified would that magically change everything?

But what's the real story??
NOBODY knows except those directly involved.

Story of EVERY regional airline ever in existence!
In the end it's just a job, means to an end.

The contract was very nice. It had its downs but if the positives were welcomed here it would help. If PBS messed up there you called and they fixed it. Better yet you know when there is an issue cuz the bids were published.

The "fly it and grieve it" is here too. It's happens all the time and SAPA tells you file a pic....

The positive about ALPA and real representation is legal assistance. Here I have seen too many pilots fed to the wolves and the company does nothing to help( LAX gear up landing)...

The retirement is a joke here, and that's hard to believe with as many lifer as we have, but I think it's par with the lowest in the industry.

Nope. I love to fly and this is my dream job. Just because I am willing to call the company on their BS doesn't mean that I hate my job and I am miserable. I love the people I fly with and this could be a great company if they worked with the pilots a little. I don't think the EB is out to get me. They would have to give a crap about me first which I know isn't happening. And I don't think ALPA would fix everything. Although it would be nice to have a legal contract and some of the other benefits that a true union would bring.

I was just in the middle of writing my bio for the next election until I saw this. And this is why our QOL continues to decline. When our reps try to speak our concerns, they are told it isn't true and that pilots should email SL, TG and MT personally so they will know it's true. What's the point of having reps if the company doesn't listen to the concerns that are brought forth by them?

How's that reserve rewrite coming along? Should be any day now...

So why skywest? You knew they weren't ALPA...

I hear ya, and don't bother with Jvw700, appears to be a management apologist, or just completely drunk on the Kool-aid of the month.

Don't bother with me huh? Man you must have been a great "rep"!!
I forget that you can't break with the status qou here on APC lest you be burned at the stake! Well good luck guys, it's a good time to be an airline pilot as hiring at the legacies is only going to increase which is good for everyone! Sure beats the lost decade...
