Is PHX is really senior? Thinking about making the switch because committing sucks. Also do they make people with current airline experience do things like draw the electrical system?

Most junior in base was hired 1/26/2016.
They might make you draw a simple diagram, if you're typed on something Skywest flies you'll def have to know what you're talking about even if you can't draw it.

As sad as it may seem. Sapa did'nt say much because it was justified. Notice any changes in TEM..??.also yesterdays email.... Im done talking about it. But everyone helped them out..

No. Even now we're hiring 80 a month

For the most part, you fly all variants. Which variants you fly mostly depends on base. Some bases are pretty much just 200s, some have a mix of 200/700, some are 700/900, some are 200/700/900.

So looking at the seniority list today, I notice that the top number is 3933 and now we have about 94 pilots on the list with 9998 or 9999 seniority numbers. Some of those have been on the seniority list for over 6 months and still show listed as TRG.

If those 9998 and 9999 numbers were those that have class dates but had to defer for military or other stuff, or cadets that have employee numbers, that would put our overall number at 3933. And 100 people in the training pipeline, which sounds way more realistic than the 200 people that it shows now.

And FWIW someone I know that recently started class showed up on the seniority list the Friday before class started and put in the right order (based on SSN) by the end of the second week. So it seems like they are adding pilots to the seniority list earlier than when they have in the past.

Doubtful. Many people never escape from the regionals for one reason or another. There will always be people who will fly the larger regional jets

Hello.

What will me life look like at skywest if I choose the E175 and ORD. I would really want to be based out of ORD but E175 would be nice.

I was thinking of interviewing this month, and choosing a class around DEC 2016, I know there is some wait time. I am tied up with my other job until then.

Also, would you advise to go to SKYWEST recruiting event ? or just apply and have them fly me down there ? Which one is better ?

Thank You

Eternal reserve.

I'd just apply and have them fly you there. No reason to spend your own coin going to a recruiting event (unless it's for a major, that is.)
