Does anyone know if training pay (65 hours per month) and travel benefits start at the beginning of CTP or only upon starting ground school for the Type Rating? Thank you
Also, after DTW and MSP, what are the next 1-2 most junior bases please? |

Also, after DTW and MSP, what are the next 1-2 most junior bases please? I did CTP over a year ago. My UA benefits seniority date is from the day I started the CTP. I went to class a month later. Also, your benefits start effective your hire date which is technically the day you start CTP. As long as you can figure out how to log into UA employee travel page you should be able to use your non rev benefits. Your family however will not until you send the travel department all your paperwork for the people you plan to enroll. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I was under the impression CTP was unpaid and you get paid the 65 hour guarantee starting with your class date. I'd be happy to hear if you do in fact get paid for that week at CTP but I was going in expecting to do it unpaid.

I thought CTP and housing was provided to you at no cost, but you received no pay. Pay started once you began ground school, along with your flight benefits.

Back from the dead
Hi fellas. Just reserected my account back from purgatory. Been reading a lot of posts from recent erau and und grads and felt compelled to break my silence. First and foremost. I'm a former FO whose entire career was torpedoed by the good folks in ST George. Why? Did I get drunk on the job?... No, disobey rules?... Nah, fail any training? Not even close. No, I dared to report a dangerous and belligerent Capt. to my chief after he compromised the safety of 76 pax. I was on probation, but crm is what they pound in our heads from the first day and being a safety issue I thought was more important. I was told that there was no way I was going to pass review, so I quit. Little did I know that the awesome folks in HR somehow would kamakaze any and all future interviews. Anyways, here's the takeaway, 1.) at SKW as an FO, dont EVER question a captain. Management will not have your back. Let the Capt burn the ship to the ground. 2.) don't believe the CRM protocol they preach, your opinion is about as unwelcome as a fart in the cockpit. 3.) if you have an issue, write it down, fold it up nicely, and put it in your bum.
St. George has zero issue wrecking everything you ever worked for. You are not a unique snowflake. |
