I'm a former FO whose entire career was torpedoed by the good folks in ST George. Why? Did I get drunk on the job?... No, disobey rules?... Nah, fail any training? Not even close. No, I dared to report a dangerous and belligerent Capt. to my chief after he compromised the safety of 76 pax. I was on probation, but crm is what they pound in our heads from the first day and being a safety issue I thought was more important. I was told that there was no way I was going to pass review, so I quit. Little did I know that the awesome folks in HR somehow would kamakaze any and all future interviews. Anyways, here's the takeaway, 1.) at SKW as an FO, dont EVER question a captain. Management will not have your back. Let the Capt burn the ship to the ground. 2.) don't believe the CRM protocol they preach, your opinion is about as unwelcome as a fart in the cockpit. 3.) if you have an issue, write it down, fold it up nicely, and put it in your bum.
St. George has zero issue wrecking everything you ever worked for. You are not a unique snowflake.

Thanks for zero amount of contribution, as with every story I've ever heard like yours. There is more to the story.

I've flown here and heard many stories of pilots hung out to dry. Gear ups and not running the QRH correctly, rapid descents cause people were feeling ill, etc etc. many disciplinary actions and pilots think they have representation (don't) and then get the letter in the file and can't move on. If you're lucky. The others get fired. Head down, fly, go home, leave asap. Too many lifers here because they screwed up.

Well considering your APC screen name "Wash out" even BEFORE you washed out of Skywest's probationary year..... (Looked at your post history)

I'd say what happened to you was fate. That whole self fulfilling prophecy thingy....

So, I have interviews scheduled with Express Jet and SkyWest. Reading both related blogs on here, there is a ton of hate and discontent on both. I get that, regional life isn't going to be the best. Just looking for any recommendations. I reside in the Orlando area, so if I were to get on with SkyWest, what is the situation at IAH as far as being able to get that as a base, upgrade time etc?

Yesterday JP retracted his previous statement to that effect. So maybe, maybe not.

out of morbid curiosity, since it looks like it would be easy to get MSP

how hard would it be to get COS ? reserve time ? etc ?

thanks

COS is a tiny base, it'd likely take a while. Also since it's an MX base, most of the trips start early and end late. OK if you're living in base, but miserable for commuters...
