That is so strange. When I interviewed in May they let everyone have their pick. And we had CRJ guys in CTP in July that switched right before our 7/25 class, to ERJ. And then ppl were pulled from the 8/3 CRJ class for ERJ, I figured from here on out most would be put on ERJ...I think if you want ERJ you will get it

I live in Denver, and am raising a family and my wife doesn't work, so it's doable.

They weren't letting CRJ guys transition the the ERJ before or during the busy summer season. Now all those guys that were bypassed are getting transition classes. While there will be ERJ slots for new hires, they will likely be few and far between for a few months.

Hi all going on Cadet visit in October.

I hope to have 1500 by next spring. Any idea if a new FO could get SEA or PDX? I live in Seattle area spouse has a job here and we have a house so really hoping for SEA or commutable.

Bit far out to say, as things stand today you could. Delta planes coming over the next year and SEA being a base gives it a good chance.

I wouldn't do ERJ if you want to fly, chances are you'll be on reserve for a while especially ORD.

That whole "over staffed" on the ERJ comes to a end by December... 23 ERJ show up now-Dec.. They pre trained for that...

I know it used to be that way but as of my class and the few before me ORD is not an option. The DVR hasn't had any vancancies. The transitions and upgrades in the class seem to think movement will be slower than the CRJ but significantly better than it has been in ORD. The fleet growing another 35-40% by the end of the year seems to support that.

Yes there's growth but remember that west coast bases are traditionally senior, people are waiting. First they were waiting for delta benefits, that's been ironed out (all west coast bases) and now they are waiting for second delta base and what those schedules will be like. When that's announced and a few months pass where ppl can see pairings you will see transitions of senior people. A lot of people believe a new training event means a call from mainline, plus people are tired of flying 200s
