Pay for established pilots at all companies needs to come up now. The race for the new hire has finally (mostly) leveled out with AMERICAN WO finally following suit.

I'm just a middle of the pack FO seniority-wise. And I couldn't agree more. Pay IS going to have to come up everywhere or else pilots will stop going to those airlines.

That's great that you're faring so well at PSA, but I'm still not jumping ship for another regional just to commute and be on reserve for a whole year...all just to fly the same plane.

I hope pay is raised here too but that will depend on how many people our recruiting team is able to pull in...and right now it's still a lot compared with other regionals.

Nor would I expect you to. I wouldn't in your shoes. I think SkyWest is a good company. When I was interviewed at PSA a couple years ago, I asked a couple of questions to the CP interviewing me. I asked him if he had a kid that was a pilot would he recommend them come to PSA. And I asked him what other airlines he thought were good airlines to work for in this industry. SkyWest was one of the couple he named.

You guys have a lot going for you because your pay and contract are pretty good, but overall it's you diversity of domiciles that I think makes you attractive to many new hires.

Oh, I agree. I'm based at ORD. If AA had announced the pay raise and bonuses at Envoy before I was hired earlier this year, I would have definitely considered Envoy for ORD. My gut tells me that they'll have to do something to draw in CFIs looking to get into the 121 world. CRJ classes are becoming increasingly smaller from the astounding 66 new-hires per class that they were since spring.

Middle of the pack people at SKYW are probably the most hosed over group in terms of schedule. QOL of that nature needs to be addressed here.

Huh?
From the same ones who are paying more at other companies..
Who is going to pay for the pay increases at Endeavor?
Who is going to pay for the pay increases at Envoy?
Whatever cost of salary a major budgets for their WO will obviously be similar for their contract carriers. If they are increasing the pay at all their WO do you think it will be any shock to them when Skywest has to do the same?
Maybe I'm missing the question.

Initially, the senior members of the pilot group will pay. New-hires have the option of going somewhere else if they don't like the pay. Senior folks are stuck, unless they happen to have a CJO or two in hand.

Training

Starting CTP next week and ground Mid Oct. I have been studying ep&l's and atp stuff, anything else anyone would recommend I do prior to class? I don't want to overlook anything and be spinning wheels in class.

you miss my point.
SKW will pay the pay increases but where are they going to get the money. AAG and DAL, would not think these two will increase there fee's to skw just to go and increase pay and bonuses at the w/o's again. This would be nothing else than AAG and DAL their individual self bidding against themselves. SKW only option is United since they own no one. Thats my point. SKW gets paid from the mainline carrier it feeds. It gets a set amount.
