That's a LOT of upgrades for both airframes. CRJ is around 2 years right now and ERJ is about 4. With the amount of people the Legacys needs, it should hang out around there for a few years....hopefully.....

I interview in a couple of weeks at SkyWest. I was hired at envoy last week. I'm trying to gather as much information as possible in order to make a good decision. I will need ORD. So my correct in my understanding that 30 FO's at Skywest are going to be transitioning to the CRJ Capt in ORD?

IAH for some reason is hanging in there. They are doing what they can to keep it open and grow it again. ORD is for sure growing. Adding a new crewlounge, ect.. ORD is a good bet for a newhire that lives in that area.. most jr upgrade also. 2~ and falling..

I agree they will try keep it open it's a big draw for pilots that live in the south, we don't have another base near there.

I gree that they try to keep it open - mostly for option value if/when Mesa fails to deliver. But not much of a draw if you cannot get in there.... |
I think we *might* see IAH as a 175 base eventually.
Don't quote me on that please. |

I'd wager Republic has a slightly better future chance at a KIAH domicile than SkyW.
Wild Card could be if Republic builds mx there or if United now sees value in our mx and domicile operation enough to change their plans with this Mexican stand-off of a closure. |
