To upgrade, a pilot still needs the 1,000 fixed wing, multi-engine turbine time in a crew environment.
Is 1,000 hours happening, inside the 18 months projected CRJ upgrade time for new hires, on the Ejet?

What is the time on reserve running on the Ejet side in comparison?

As for upgrade - you need 1,000 hours in multi crew environment and 2,500 hours total time (a SKYW thing). Some R-ATP guys with 1,000 hours coming on board don't realize that either.
And you have to be at least 23 of age.... rumor has it that some folks would be eligible but aren't old enough...
In summary - a 18-20 month upgrade is possible but a lot more likely with prior 121 experience...

Probably been asked a million times, but, what can a first year FO expect to make at Skywest?

Anecdotal evidence suggests that there is more flying on the CRJ side than Ejet.

I don't think the Ejet pilot on reserve is anywhere close to racking up the necessary time in 18 months. Someone on this forum indicated an Ejet pilot could be on reserve for 12 months in ORD. (I don't know if that is true or not). That means the upgrade may come up for an Ejet pilot from a seniority perspective, but an Ejet pilot will not qualify due to hours.

I was told SkyWest will waive the 2500TT... any truth to that?

It's specifically "At least 1,000 flight hours in air carrier operations (as co-pilot in Part 121 operations, as Captain in fractional ownership operations, as Captain in Part 135 turbojet, commuter, or 10 or more passenger seat operations, or any combination thereof)"

Hi all,
I was curious if anyone currently working at Skywest could give me any details on the IAH domicile. I know they operate crj200s and 700s and are pretty senior with FOs. Are there any plans to close the IAH base? I heard flying was slowing down there. Also, how long is reserve looking for the 175? Just lookin at my options to live in domicile vs commuting, and how hard a commute might be.
