Sorry I don't have dreams of being management, but I will give you my armchair quarterback analysis. I have used our "open door" policy and sent my concerns to KB, SL, CC a couple years ago. Got a response from SL (not surprising, great guy) that said things will get better. Reserve re-write was announced and empty promises made. No response from anyone else, but I basically showed where SW had lied about reserve coverage numbers that she had sent out in her communication to the FA's. How her reserve numbers weren't even close to actual numbers and it was the same for pilots. This was like 5 years ago. Nothing has changed.

Management is doing exactly what they should do. Get us to work as much as they can for as cheap as they can. We have pilots that feel it is acceptable to get paid 2% less then what every other airline gets paid to fly the same routes. It wasn't my decision to run lean after 117 and force pilots to extend their workday to cover lack of staffing. It wasn't my decision to not invest in software that utilizes staffing better. It wasn't my decision to keep 50% reserve staffing in ORD for the 175 and not utilize TDT to temporarily staff these other domiciles that are below 15% reserve coverage.

Time will tell if they can continue to do things "the way we have always done it" and have it work. Everyone is having to adapt to a new reality within the regionals. Apparently it is cheaper to chase away FO's and hire new ones vs doing the right thing. Again, I am rooting for SW success until I get the call. To those that have decided this is their final stop, I hope the handshake agreements hold up until their retirement.

Of course you have no drive to go into management. Why? Because it is easier to sit and whine about everything and point out where everyone else is wrong in your eyes. But, you have such wonderful ideas on how to fix things and make everything wonderful, don't you? So, behind a keyboard you sit, complaining on forums, via email and to any poor fool within earshot. Complain about how everyone makes your life suck, how stupid people are, and how miserable your poor life is because of others.

I am guessing you probably most of your life had things handed to you, and was told that anything bad that happened to you is always the fault of someone else. Now, in the real world things don't always go your way, and it makes you mad.

That is why you will never go into management. Your ego couldn't take it, so you will sit.....typing typing typing typing...

Haha. Well played. Lured me in like you wanted to have a meaningful discussion, then show your true colors. Sorry to disappoint you but I worked hard to get where I was at. Worked night shifts while getting my licenses and raising a family. Yet, most have done the same which is why I don't feel like I am any better than others. Something you obviously struggle with.

I'm not mad, just tired. Tired of believing that things will get better, tired of working 90 hours a month and tired of being away from my family so much while those junior to me are wondering why they can't get any hours. Troll away all you want, but you failed to address anything I brought up above. If you are not already in SAPA, get your app in. You will do great ignoring concerns of your delegates and selling the company creed.

My apologies to everyone else on this thread for feeding the troll. Lesson learned...

No interviews for SkyWest. As opposed to Commutair. No idea about "forvejtvand"

I think that's Swedish for Surejet.

And why are you apologizing to every one else on this thread? What makes you think they care what either you or I exchange? Oh right, it is that whole ego thing I was talking about. You do think everyone wants to hear what you have to say.

You need to learn like some of the others that you cannot keep up with me.

You're mighty tough, hanging out behind a keyboard in the PDX crew lounge...
