Unfortunately, I feel we are left in the dark most of the time with communication from our management team (and SAPA if we are being honest). As I mentioned, the last email we got from TG (who is our Director of Flight Operations) with any class information was back on November 21st, 2015. We do get quarterly updates from our Chief Pilots with class info, but the last one we had was for Q1 and listed the last March class that I mentioned.

There may be some people in the training circles that could help, but as far as the general rank and file, we are left in the dark most of the time. Sorry I couldn't provide a better answer for you.

I completely understand. I believe it was mentioned that we would be notified by the 6th. Or not notified. Thanks much for getting back. Best..

How long after interview could one expect a class date?

A friend of mine interviewed in February and started class in March. He had just enough time to put in his two weeks to his employer and get situated. Interview to class was just over 3 weeks.

Just heard about Delta buying Skywest and sending the 717s for SW to fly, couldn't be more excited to head off for my class date!

My questions to those who could offer advice..

1. How would I go about switching my class from the CRJ to the 717, or will they do it automatically?

2. If in a couple years would it be possible to switch to something larger or is it based on the integrated seniority.

3. Is the purchase to mean that Skywest will remain a regional but wholly owned like Envoy or are we Just part of Delta now?

4. Can I anticipate being paid on the current Skywest pay scale of will I be paid on the delta scale, when will that become effective?

Thanks for the questions!

When is this happening. Would be good because we will lose so much regional jet flying when United starts getting the 737s to replace our flying, I've heard we will lose up to 800 pilots as a result over 6 months

If you are already on property, you just have to put in a standing bid. As long as there is not company need to keep you in the CRJ, you will get it when your seniority can hold it. However, if it will reduce training events, then it will just go to new hires.

Just ask yourself this question.

case in point, VD just told me in a personal message that every single CRJ FO trying to transition in this upcoming bid WILL be bypassed. PERIOD.

That's actually good for me as it keeps senior people from coming in ahead of me. Bad for seniority though. But I will take it.
