You many not, but some of your fellow pilots drink too much from the fountain.

No Lie? Hi I'm Fred from Mainline.

You would do well to leave the expressjet attitude behind at your new airline.

Pay is what makes us all ie. every regional a "regional," nothing more. We all do the same exact job as our counterparts at mainline. We're just somehow "unqualified" to be making a comparable wage to what mainline pilots do...

You're correct, but we also fly into podunk, uncontrolled airports, which mainline doesn't. So technically, we do more for less money.

Fake news. That's ridiculous, nobody would do that.

Unless it was a joke, Bro crew used to refer to CRJ crew as "SKW Mainline", and now the ERJ is "mainline" compared to the CRJ...but it's a joke.

Yes. "Regionals" and "Commuters" are inaccurate.

Subcontractor is correct, and that's exactly the term I use when talking about who I work for, ie a subcontrcator for UAL, DAL, etc.

Having a hard time finding a straight answer on upgrade requirements. Is it 1000 SIC (with Skywest) AND 2500 total time, or only the 1000 hr turbine mark. I'm a mil R-ATP guy and am wondering if a potential upgrade will get pushed later until I hit the 2500 TT. Thanks.

elmetal 05-03-2017 08:35 AM

1000sic with any 121 carrier AND 2500TT

2500TT Being a company requirement (which can be waived if they need you) and 1000 121/135 being a legal requirement which cannot under any circumstance be waived.

Anyone got the scoop why SkyWest flew an Alaska Painted CR7 from St.. George to Atlanta yesterday and today it's flown up to IAD?

SkyWest (OO) #1972 ? 02-May-2017 ? KSGU - KATL ? FlightAware
