Hypothetically- I have vacation scheduled and just enough vacation time to cover it. If I call in sick for a trip right before the vacation with not enough user time to cover the entire sick call, what will happen? |
ZED question
I'm trying to purchase ZED fares for my family to attend a funeral - I keep getting an error message on MyIDtravel.com that says, "Minimum Days of employment not obtained." So the question is - what is the min days of employment before we can purchase zeds? I know it's in the travel manual, I just figured this would be just as quick. While I'm on it, are buddy passes/interline agreements still a thing? We used to get those when I was a ramp agent with Frontier a decade ago...

Buddy passes yes on delta. 6 months min for zed

From the ASA MEC ....
"It has recently come to the attention of the ASA MEC that SkyWest Airlines has offered retention of longevity for pay and benefits calculation to ASA and XJT pilots who are interested in starting over at SkyWest Airlines as a new hire pilot. This program is documented on page 3021.1 of the SkyWest Airlines Pilot Policy Manual. To gather information about this program, an ASA First Officer contacted the SkyWest Recruiting department. In discussing the options available to an ExpressJet pilot, the SkyWest Pilot recruiter shared that the name of the program for ExpressJet pilots to retain their longevity for pay purposes as the 'Soft Landing Program'. The existence of a program at SkyWest Airlines to encourage pilots to leave ASA to start over at SkyWest is troubling to the ASA MEC. While the intent of this program at SkyWest Airlines has been described by the company as an effort that is not meant to harm the ASA pilot group, the ASA MEC feels that the net effect on the future of ASA is not positive." |

No, IAH is extremely/almost impossible to get. Not sure how those 3 FO's even got it since the base has only shrunk with more time.
It will be the hardest base to get and that's even if it's still around... |
It's like when united bumps a pax off an oversold for money then a nonrev gets on... Except worse

Not out of training anymore.
Maybe at the end of IOE, maybe. Last 4 classes have gotten ORD, I'd know I'm in one of them. Most junior guy at sfo is probably a late november hire. |
I know Houston was being discussed, out of Denver I have trips that flow through Houston now. Flying to Corpus Christi, and other inter Texas cities. I don't think anyone knows what is happening to Houston, but some sort of an update would be nice.
