United is getting all of the 700s out of its flying. They are keeping a few 700s with Skywest for the Aspen flying. I don't know why, can't they do that in a 175? United wanted to switch the Aspen flying to Gojet since that is all Gojet has, but Gojet couldn't put together a training program for it. I can't figure out Gojet management, if you can call it management.
I would expect all the Skywest 700s to go to American in Chicago as American moves Envoy flying to the East Coast. |
whens the next bonus come out? Thought it was in April?

Skywest Online has my hire date as the day I accepted their offer. Is that our official DOH used for bidding or is it ground School grad date? Thanks! I don't think there is a "flexible itinerary". You really can't miss ground school. If your timing of selling the airplane can't be flexible, then I suggest you wait until you sell your airplane before you start Indoc. |

Now, United doesn't have any regional feed. If you spread it out between SkyWest, Mesa, GoJet, Republic, Air Wisconsin, Expressjet, and Commutair, and one of them goes on strike then its not so bad. Also, the different airlines can bid against each other to win the contract. Lowest bidder wins, keeping costs low. |
They have already been studying plans to build a new terminal in Aspen that is double the square footage, expand the runway and displace if further away from the taxiway to accommodate larger aircraft, and to build new taxiways. They know that once CRJ700s time out, they need to find a solution to get commercial aircraft into Aspen. Some airliners have or could potentially have the climb performance but the wingspan is currently an issue.
