Yes, both of them had prior 121 and/or part 135 PIC time.

Significant amounts of flying have shifted from West Coast bases to DTW and ORD. With the E175 deliveries pretty much done, and with West Coast bases heavily overstaffed (45% of all SFO CRJ guys will be on reserve this month and for the foreseeable future), transitions, upgrades, and transfers into West Coast bases will be very limited for the foreseeable future.

If you live near ORD, MSP, or DTW, this is a great place to be. If you're a West Coaster? Not so much.

Just tellin' it like it is. Of course, this could all change tomorrow, but there are no signs that it will. Then again, this has all been in the works for quite some time and should come as no surprise to anyone...

This is true on the CRJ. Not entirely on the 175. If you want west, definitely don't go CRJ and you will be fine. You can get SFO before you're even on IOE some recent new hires have reported.

........

Still a good amount of CRJ FO transfers this month not on the DVR. SLC got 12/PSP 2/SEA 3/MSP 5/COS 4/IAH 4

That's pretty good for a DVR that said 40 DTW and nowhere else...

Do the math! We've been upgrading about 60/month. Number of captains leaving has been 30-40, the rest has been growth. Going forward the amount of captain attrition will only increase. Only thing that will stop upgrades is the lack of new hires which is a real possibility but somehow we keep getting 60 plus every single month...

While the movement is impressive, we have not upgraded anywhere near 60/month. Average for this year is probably under 40.

10 month upgrade? Wow. What is your attrition like? Did I see someone mention a MSP er7 base?

There is no ERJ MSP base. It was labeled wrong in the award.

spaaks 03-29-2017 10:34 PM

Any recent attrition numbers?

Can one get IAH out of training, if not how long to bid it?

No, IAH is extremely/almost impossible to get. Not sure how those 3 FO's even got it since the base has only shrunk with more time.

It will be the hardest base to get and that's even if it's still around...

I'm an LXJT FO that lives in DTW, trying to make the lateral move to SKW. Our management during a Q&A conference call, plus a SKW recruiter that I messaged with on FB both said that the program DOES NOT apply to an XJT/ASA pilot going straight to SKW.

It only applies to XJT/ASA/SKW pilots that have left for other carriers (legacy, LLC) and come back. XJT/ASA pilots are still eligible for the $7,500 bonus. Bummer for me, but I'll gladly lose a couple bucks per hour in pay for home base and an opportunity to actually upgrade.

Easy solution. Just leave XJT for an undesirable carrier that will hire you (alligient, spirit..etc)...do a few weeks and then quit and go back to SKW and upgrade real quick as you'll have the time ahead of the new hires with no time. Boom. Soft landing pay AND eventually move to a legacy.
