Yes, both of them had prior 121 and/or part 135 PIC time.

For anyone considering coming here, just be aware that for the time being, and probably the foreseeable future, "SkyMidWest" would be a more appropriate name for this airline.
Significant amounts of flying have shifted from West Coast bases to DTW and ORD. With the E175 deliveries pretty much done, and with West Coast bases heavily overstaffed (45% of all SFO CRJ guys will be on reserve this month and for the foreseeable future), transitions, upgrades, and transfers into West Coast bases will be very limited for the foreseeable future. If you live near ORD, MSP, or DTW, this is a great place to be. If you're a West Coaster? Not so much. Just tellin' it like it is. Of course, this could all change tomorrow, but there are no signs that it will. Then again, this has all been in the works for quite some time and should come as no surprise to anyone... |

Yes.

Do the math! We've been upgrading about 60/month. Number of captains leaving has been 30-40, the rest has been growth. Going forward the amount of captain attrition will only increase. Only thing that will stop upgrades is the lack of new hires which is a real possibility but somehow we keep getting 60 plus every single month...

10 month upgrade? Wow. What is your attrition like? Did I see someone mention a MSP er7 base?

Can one get IAH out of training, if not how long to bid it?

It will be the hardest base to get and that's even if it's still around... |

Just wanted to chime in to keep misinformation from spreading:
I'm an LXJT FO that lives in DTW, trying to make the lateral move to SKW. Our management during a Q&A conference call, plus a SKW recruiter that I messaged with on FB both said that the program DOES NOT apply to an XJT/ASA pilot going straight to SKW. It only applies to XJT/ASA/SKW pilots that have left for other carriers (legacy, LLC) and come back. XJT/ASA pilots are still eligible for the $7,500 bonus. Bummer for me, but I'll gladly lose a couple bucks per hour in pay for home base and an opportunity to actually upgrade. |
