They'll exclude ASA/XJT people for that very reason, just watch.

Maybe for the metroliner. I think the bro upgrade at one point went as junior as six months with the company, which would be a few months out of training.

Pretty sure it's skywest airlines specific. To help our guys who decide to come back... not for all the other airlines....

Do you think that classes will be getting filled at TSA, Compass, Mesa, Gojet from now on? Upgrade is almost instantaneous at any airline when qualified now.

I can see Gojet pilots telling the company what to do with their 55,000 starting captain pay when they can get 80k at skywest after a short time.

If the Union would stop the bonuses to first year guys here it would be a ghost town. They will need to bum that bonus to about 40,000 to make things even.

We are worth much more than we are being paid and it gets pretty tiring have so many pilots argue against me. You can mow lawns and make as much as a CRJ-700 captain at Gojet. Why do we let them only pay the new guy?

From the ASA MEC ....

"It has recently come to the attention of the ASA MEC that SkyWest Airlines has offered retention of longevity for pay and benefits calculation to ASA and XJT pilots who are interested in starting over at SkyWest Airlines as a new hire pilot. This program is documented on page 3021.1 of the SkyWest Airlines Pilot Policy Manual. To gather information about this program, an ASA First Officer contacted the SkyWest Recruiting department. In discussing the options available to an ExpressJet pilot, the SkyWest Pilot recruiter shared that the name of the program for ExpressJet pilots to retain their longevity for pay purposes as the 'Soft Landing Program'. The existence of a program at SkyWest Airlines to encourage pilots to leave ASA to start over at SkyWest is troubling to the ASA MEC. While the intent of this program at SkyWest Airlines has been described by the company as an effort that is not meant to harm the ASA pilot group, the ASA MEC feels that the net effect on the future of ASA is not positive."

With a 9 month upgrade and previous 121 time... What are company minimums for an upgrade?

You may also want to consider that there are literally 1000 pilots senior that will eventually upgrade.

Yes.( that statement holds true at Delta also...) But at a regional, if you can upgrade, get your apps out. You closer to a job at the majors...
