It is more like 40 per month. The ER7 CA slots tend to be transitions.

And those transitions usually get back filled with CRJ upgrades. Even if it was closer to only 50/month that's 600 upgrades a year. In less than 2 years those 1000 guys have already upgraded....

"Soft Landing" for XJT/ASA

Just wanted to chime in to keep misinformation from spreading:

I'm an LXJT FO that lives in DTW, trying to make the lateral move to SKW. Our management during a Q&A conference call, plus a SKW recruiter that I messaged with on FB both said that the program DOES NOT apply to an XJT/ASA pilot going straight to SKW.

It only applies to XJT/ASA/SKW pilots that have left for other carriers (legacy, LLC) and come back. XJT/ASA pilots are still eligible for the $7,500 bonus. Bummer for me, but I'll gladly lose a couple bucks per hour in pay for home base and an opportunity to actually upgrade.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the info!

Not sure entirely what the person was meaning with the Flight Ops Info Bulliten (FOIB). We predominately use Honeywell ACARS but we are adding aircraft that have Rockwell Collins.

It said in a section of the bulliten "This bulletin supports the Rockwell Collins equipped CRJ 200s of which only 4 aircraft are currently operating in our system. More will join in the upcoming months."

All of the former ASA 200s are Rockwell Collins

That would explain it. Do you know many are we getting? It sounds like quite a few more are on their way.

This award had "only" 44 upgrades ...

Not sure how the other awards played out in the past regarding backfills.

44 is still a sizable number. But that means potentially 2.5 years of reserve if you are the "lucky" plug that got the 9 months upgrade award ...

The award is not over. Still have some 175 spots to fill.... you must be on the 175. The "plug" for the CRJ upgrade will not see 2.5 years of reserve! Where do you get that number? What exactly are you trying to say?

All I am saying is that 10 months upgrade makes for a great headline but likely comes at a price.

Chances are the guy has extensive 121 or military experience and may be gone soon.

Or he will be in DTW for a long time either on reserve or as a super junior line holder enjoying MDG trips for a long time as a lot of senior folks come in ahead of him.
