Nope....everybody and their brother on property has their bid in for the ERJ. You can expect the CRJ as an offer in the short term as a new hire.

Not true. There are quite a few pilots who prefer a domicile over an aircraft type. Also, there are roughly 150 newhires in training and nearly half of them are in class for the E175.

An acquaintance of mine is thinking of coming to the 121 world. He's currently a 135 guy living in the CA central coast. Any idea how long it would take him to hold LAX or SFO as a noob? I'm trying to talk him out of going to Compass, since I don't think their west coast presence will last very long with all their fleet reductions.

There isn't a good reason to stop him from going to compass. Nobody knows what will happen.

I'm on the CRJ and I would have gotten SFO last bid(got my first selection though) at 6 months from class date.

I'm not sure if that trend will keep up because I'm pretty sure it's shrinking. E175 looks like the same thing possibly faster. I saw a lot of bids for guys trying to transition over to 175 SFO.

LAX on the CRJ is a bit longer. Some 175 guys here can tell you how long that wait is but I'm pretty sure SFO could be obtained faster.
