Unless you live in Chicago or Detroit, upgrade at Skywest is 5+ years so don't forget to factor that in also. If you want to upgrade you'll be commuting a long time.

What I'm pointing out is people that are dismissing other airlines because "commute to East coast"

Not as impressive when you see they are counting 401k match (not 100% vested to start), insurance, and per diem. They are also assuming you will refer a pilot there and that you will upgrade in 18-24 months. Pay is also calculated at more than monthly guarantee X 12. While we know hours are and probably will be available, AWAC certainly inflated every possible number for recruitment. A lot of assumptions there. |

Depends on you where you live. Going to one of AWACs bases could mean adding a leg to your commute, which could mean a few wasted days in hotels each month getting burned on missed commutes. Every situation is unique for each person though of course.

Oh and the reserve additions you speak of we all are waiting to see. It was set in stone before TG took over.
