I made $44k or somewhere near that and busted my rear doing it. I was four months on CRJ reserve and picked up OT whenever I could. $60k is really hard to make, and you would have to be here almost five - six years as an FO to make that kind of money.

I would count on this. More on if you can pick up open time. If you live in base you can pick up 1 day trips even on reserve. As long as it doesn't mess with your 30 hrs off every 7 days of duty. Thats been my main limiter on reserve. Of course I don't fly much on reserve. So working the odd 1 day to get above guarantee is pretty mellow. I also picked up the 7500$ bonus for being previously typed.

I keep hearing different numbers on the hours you need before training. I keep hearing both 1450 and 1475 TT and the rest you get in training. Just wondering which was "more correct".

Im closing in quickly, and just wanted to know for planning reasons.

You can credit up to 25hrs of SIM toward the Multiengine Class requirement of ATP hence 1475, but up to 100 hours toward the TT requirement, I believe. But you will not get 100hrs of sims here hence 1450.

Is FAT still available after training? Thx

Most JR 2/17 hire date Just finished ioe im guessing and got FAT base for July. 8 FO's awarded FAT transfers for July.

What are the chances of getting awarded ERJ transfer after a year ?
I know there is a 2-year seat lock if you have an airplane preference, and 1-year if you don't.
And it seems that the trend as of now is pushing for CRJ for new hires.
I`m planning on coming to OO some time in September. I definitely don`t mind flying the CRJ for a bit.
But how likely are we to actually get into training for the ERJ after a year ?
And how does this affect our seniority/base and upgrade time ?

You can easily get the ERJ after your freeze date ends. It'll be no problem unless Skywest stops hiring and everything freezes. It will not effect you upgrade time as upgrade is based on your original date of hire. However, if you want the first upgrade the first will probably be available on the CRJ.

He's asking if he can transition before the seat lock. I think all new hires are getting a 2 year freeze now. Chances of a transition before that's up are pretty slim.
