O.K., who would be the best person to speak with about keeping the paper checklist? I have noticed they are slowly disappearing in the aircraft. I appreciate all the effort to have the ability to review electronic releases, dmi's, and such on the EFB, but this is going too far. Seriously, how often do they need to print a new checklist; once a year? Yeah, let's go heads down into an often glitchy efb where you have to punch in a code to open it up, swipe to the right location, swipe to the right page on the checklist. By this time I would already have the paper checklist completed. Then have to get back to the page with... approach plate, taxi diagram, etc. Whoever thought this was a great idea obviously doesn't fly anymore.
Hardly any of management flies. 2 at Director level very occasionally fly. Many in management don't or can't get medicals.
So ya, we are told how to fly planes by people that don't fly planes?

Alright, how about a shutdown check?
Both EFBs off and in the bag.
Look at each other...

As for who to talk to, ASAP every single leg as well as talking to the FAA directly to voice concern over the safety implications of switching programs during critical phases of flight and not being able to adequately display the required charts while needing to run checklists and how prone to freezing and crashing our surfaces are.

Yup, that's how it goes down and if you think going rote on checklists is healthy then go nuts, hotrod.

Lol. Nobody cares about shutdowns, I get it, that was a joke. I have absolutely found myself going more off memory with the electronic checklists because it's super small in the split screen or not up or whatever. I'm not Mr. SOP but that is no bueno.

I just want hard copy of the Before Landing check. And the Descent Check...so you can knock it out real quick when you realize you forgot to do it at 500'.
