That's because management has SAPA out smarted in every situation.

Which really isn't saying much.....

I would hope every ATL ASA pilot would walk off the job, and put in for Endeavor, if they pulled that garbage.

You realize a crap ton of xjt destinations in the southeast are already here right? South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee and NC are all done by skw ATM. Over half the Detroit pairings go to ATL and fly there.

Not that I agree with it or condone it (for the millionth time), but it's just what inc wants. I hate to see it, but I'm not putting blinders on, it's real. And it's here already. Opening a base would save costs. The amount of deadheading is ridiculous

And on top of that, you guys shot your wad on a measly pay raise that locks you in for five years while simultaneously giving away leverage by letting management raise FO pay without having to come back and negotiate. It sounds like there is at least one Skywest pilot that is frustrated over that and I don't blame him. Your pay rates are just multipliers to your work rules. Right now you guys are one of the most productive pilot groups and that equates to your work rules being a low multiplier of your pay rates. You can do a lot better for yourselves but that requires using your leverage effectively.
Lots of non-Utards disgusted with the vote. The way it was presented, the absolute retardation of guys who wanted to vote yes on rumors they made up of growth that we could not staff even if we got it.
Literally they convinced themselves, because once again, they are raised without critical thinking skills, that they are in charge of making sure the company and their executives get record profits, or that as a "regional" you can't expect a reasonable wage.

I'm not usually positive person, but reading the last few pages of posts I kind of need to chime in. Skywest is a really good company, I've been here for 6 years, I drive to work, make about over 115k with just minimal amount of effort and basically get all the days off I need. I have friends at Mesa, Gojet, commutair, psa and expressjet and the stories I hear are pretty horrifying, even in the regional market that we live in. The pay package was BS, and it should not have passed, but you can blame that on all the junior guys. But who can blame them, they want to ride the quick upgrade train as well. People coming on here bashing OO have no idea what they're talking about.

My guess is junior guys and lifers. That 10% 401k match got just enough of the senior guys to pass it. Agree with everything else.

SkyWest isn't the one taking their 900s.

I still remember scoffing at management when they said (years ago) that Skywest would only fly in the western US and xjt in the eastern US. I knew it was a lie because it was already a lie when they said it. They must've thought we don't look at the two route maps on the Skywest web page.

This fully describes almost all of management and what they expect of employees. It's a true Utah mentality!
