Reserve on the CRJ sucks too - no flying. I'm getting 2 hours a week.

You realize it's September, right? Less flying this month and next. Then the holiday travel resumes...

You should upgrade into the CRJ. You won't have that problem of being able to sit at home all day and collect monthly guarantee for no work
You'll be used and abused.

Not everyone wants to sit at home and earn monthly guarantee whilst not flying. The thing that gets me the most is why people below me on seniority in the bucket, with their call preference set to "no" are getting assigned trips and I'm not.. and I'm not including the ones that have to do IOE.

There.There
This is what you looked like to others when you were doing your previously assigned OE. They do assign out of order by mistake or due to the bucket system. Do you really feel like they are giving a guy who hasn't finished training yet a trip?

Pull yourself together Humpty.

Um as i said, im not including the ones that have to do IOE.. and I should of said im also not including the ones that dont yet have 100 hours. We were all in the position of having to do 100 hours and I get that..
What I dont get is why people are assigned trips below me on seniority in the bucket who have a first call preference set to no AND who have 100 hours in the aircraft already. I'm not the only one noticing this. There are a lot of people getting very frustrated in Chicago. Call the people who want to fly and dont call the people who are happy sitting at home doing nothing.

Sitting reserve (living in base) and not getting called is a dream for a lot of pilots. You will get your hours trust me. This isn’t a sprint guys... enjoy the ride.

If you aren't getting the flying you want at your regional airline, I highly recommend having your mommy and daddy come in and have a talk with your Chief Pilot. You deserve more.
