So, does that statement change anything? Is crew support going to read this and say, "Oh, we'll stop bending the rules to make pilot's lives better"? Highly doubtful. If you don't like the situation, CHANGE something YOU can change. Otherwise, you're gonna drive yourself batty.

And I am entirely sick of you kool aid drinkers that think this place is the best thing since sliced bread!!! Get a clue! We have ZERO leverage thanks to 53% Look at the bonuses management is getting and ask yourself if 1% was worth whoring yourself out for...
We are deeply divided between the status quo and the pilots who actually want to make this place worth while for everyone. Step one: new sapa reps that have a backbone, starting at the top!!!!

The sooner potential pilots start seeing past the smoke and mirrors that OO (and you company pilots) put out the better for everyone!

I've been here for a year and three months, SLC based FO, holding lines since March. I've had several months with 14-16 days off. I know that's not the case for junior SLC captains. More than likely, I will switch bases when I upgrade down the road. Still, I hold just about what I bid for (73%) out of SLC. Not too shabby for now.

WTF does your idiot, pointless statement even mean? I never said sometimes. I said 14-16 days off a month and that's not terribly bad considering the alternative of flying my a** off 4-5 days a week for a 91 or 135 operation. Let's see, I normally get 4 days off every week to stay home with my little boy so he doesn't have to go to daycare all week. Then I pick up a three or four day 7/900 trip. Drive to and from work instead of commuting to work for years like many others do at other regionals. Yet, you think I'm "drinking the kool-aid"? It looks like you're the one who needs to move know to something else.

You want ME to get a clue? Like I said, I've flown for many companies in many types of flying. This crap is easy. What's your background?

And what exactly is that? More complaining? If you hate it, move on. You may find this hard to believe, but many before you realized that better opportunities are out there and they went after them. It's called career progression.

Here is the cold hard truth for anyone thinking of coming here:
You will sit reserve, you won't break guarantee due to the company bending the rules to make sure of it!
When your busy busting your butt to make sure you get an time departure you get NO bonus (sorry have to be 2 years).
You will get "delayed" into your days off with nothing more than oh well it's your trip so you have to do it, and you get nothing!!!!
Your "vacation" will be canceled due to company needs if somehow your awarded vacation.
The ONLY days off you can guarantee are your sick days, and even those are being questioned now.
Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere that has real work rules instead of "that's the way we've always done it" and that actually pays what a pilot should be worth instead of padding managements bonuses!
