Was just announced... (few days ago)

At my SkyWest interview last Friday 8/25 my interviewer told me Atlanta was announced as a base that day.

Anyone going to ATP CTP in Atlanta 16 Sept or CRJ training at SLC on 2 October?

Considering commuting to BOI. Anyone discovered a decent hotel/crashpad?

CRJ reserve only *initially*. Opens Nov 1. 6 spots per seat for now.

Well how else will they bypass the need to pay people moving expenses? Open it as a reserve base, no one wants it, couple of people from the south will take it, get a little money, then next month it'll be up to 50 vacancies per seat. And lines. But now no one gets MER.

You all know that's why they're doing it. Let's not kid ourselves.

After a short browse on swol, I didn't find any info on medical leave of absence.

Any one able to point me in the right direction on info about the process? Not related to my medical cert and didn't want to ask chief pilot yet because it hasn't been confirmed, but I might schedule a shoulder surgery.

Can't help you with your question but have you looked at the September pairings for Boise? Very early show times with really late release times. They aren't commutable on either end for the most part.

As with any outstation base...

Typical schedule for MX bases. Fine if you live there, or close enough drive, but not good for commuters.
