Then why aren’t YOU doing it? SkyWest has bases a whole lot closer to LA than IAH is.

He was already in the Short course..... he got moved to captain upgrade...why do you think they reopened the DVR. Not enough people had Upgrade all and/or after (Holiday) dates...

Good, that's not a bad deal for ASA guys. Youll be on endless reserve, but 8 yr CA pay in ATL isn't too bad.

I’ve heard it’s a confirmed upgrade.

Hope it’s true as those guys definitely deserve it.

I know a lot of people are saying that there are a lot of upgrades on the standing bid list. But there are not a lot with 2,500 Total Time and 1,000 121. Im just under 2 years seniority at SkyWest and am seeing a lot of my newhire classmates with bids in that are just shy of the hours.

I’m not buying the fact that someone can just get upgraded before there is an official awarding of vacancies. Plus there is no employee number or seniority number that junior listed on any award and standing bid page or under the seniority lists as a CA.

Otherwise you are saying SkyWest is hiring street captains and is quietly upgrading guys without posting on SWOL.

Because my airline's bases aren't closing and I'm not being threatened with a downgrade just to stay employed...yet. All of ASA's bases are closing except for DFW. You couldn't figure that one out?

I remember speaking to a Skywest FO years ago who told me she was bypassed upgrade. They told her she didn't have enough command experience. I don't see this any different, pilots being bypassed out of seniority. Maybe you should grieve it although she didn't have the opportunity back then.

How does one get command experience?
Sounds made up.

I only have been logging my commando time in the seat.

Wouldn’t surprise me as the DVR for the CRJ got extended. Makes me think the company already knows there are not enough people to upgrade.

Just saying and could easily be wrong.
