Sorry for switching the topic from ATL, how long can someone expect to be on reserve and upgrade in SEA either CRJ or ERJ?

I’m against it.

General info on ATL.
ATL is CRJ reserve only in November
And a fully normal base in December.

175 base by October 2018

ATL is going to be a 175 base?

Not for now. Who knows what will happen in the future.

How does the pilot group benefit from having a select group of pilots (including at least 2 SAPA reps) who are close to retirement, fly airliners as a hobby?

How does one issue have to do with the other? Is it conceivable for reserve pilots to fly airplanes Roswell and not have to drive a rental car? Somehow other regionals have figured that out. Or is this something else that they have been getting away with?

Too bad there isn't an organization of pilots that acts as a repository and distributor of information, especially of the kind that management would benefit from pilots not knowing about.

Except for not having to drive a rental car in the regional world is not uncommon. It's not like this happens at all regionals. I'm not sure it happens at any other than this one. So your argument doesn't seem to hold water, actually.

We shouldn't be giving any of our flying up to non-skywest pilots. That is a slippery slope.

I have no problem renting a car. It's the 1/2 credit for driving that is complete bull s@!$. This is what SAPA should be focused on.

When did we tell SAPA it was a priority to outsource our part 91 flying. This should not be tolerated by any of our pilots.

You didn't. Several old hands (including some sapa peeps) are not happy they have to hang it up at 65.

This isn't going to help QOL because they'll just staff that much leaner rather than re-allocating reserves to cover vacation, drops, etc.

I'd only go for it if it was linked to staffing language.

Default DEN base possibilities

I'm an Army pilot, but have the FW requirements to apply. I'm very interested in basing out of DEN. How likely is this as a newbie? I'll be on the older side in my mid-40s. If you don't get your first base choice, how long (on average) does it take to perhaps move over to DEN? Thanks!

Wouldn’t shock me. They probably all called Endeavor.
