Look at ASA? That was all Inc’s doing. Why don’t we also look at rah and endeavor or air Wisconsin? All of them held the line or substantially increased it in the last round.

You say you hate the whole vacation program yet on the previous post you were trying to pass it as some great thing.

I was referencing that im maxed out on vacation/user and when i leave that equates to 45k check.... was not saying i like the system...

I heard it's a done deal for next year, you should be okay...

It would literally require and act of Congress.

Not in the cards near-term, there's nothing happening in congress or at the FAA.

But it's an obvious and easy patch a few years down the road... lowering experience requirements is controversial at best. Letting experienced pilots stick around a bit longer is easy to justify if you can show statistically that 67 y/o pilots today are healthier than 60 y/o pilots were decades ago (when the age limit came about). Especially since Japan is already there.

Anyone else notice our D:0 A:14 numbers have plummeted in the last month? We are spread pretty thin and it is starting to show!

The first of our next batch of Alaska E175 deliveries has arrived in BOI and the first of our new Delta E175 SCs will be coming in December. In total, we’ll take 45 E175s for Alaska and Delta between now and next fall.

Did something change?

Hmmmmm....why don't you go ahead and fill us in on how these two would be tied together? Or, are we just making up stuff?

When they aren’t properly staffed and don’t have any reserves available, crew support starts calling people on their days off to beg them to take the trips. If they are having trouble finding a volunteer, the flight will be delayed until they do. Which affects the D:0 A:14 times.
Also, when running as thin as they are now, they don’t have reserves available to takeover when a crew will obviously be delayed all day. For example, a crew leaving an outstation has a maintenance problem. It takes 3 hours to resolve to problem. With their 6 leg day of quick turns, they don’t have any time to catch back up. When we have enough reserves, crew support could pull their next round trip, give it to reserves, and allow them to get back on schedule.
