Not as big as STL. Prob the same reason STL isn’t a base....mgt hasn’t deemed it necessary yet.

Ops agent there said we’re adding a gate or two per year. I could see it but am wondering if FLL would be the next one as a springboard South.

Not in a hurry to add another base. I rather like the conservative approach to bases since we’ve never closed one down. Worked somewhere where bases opened and closed on avg of 1 every 6 mos. No thanks.

LAX “is the last brick and mortar base”, per a recent Leadership Brief at recurrent in DAL. Take that FWIW.

Anything emanating from Dallas and especially a leadership brief is worth exactly what you paid for it. I have heard so many bad rumors from those things and zero of them have come true.

Some of the clowns that they send to those things are ridiculous. The guy we had ended up telling us that he was dropping bombs in Kosovo with 250 hours when asked about the Ethiopian crash. We were all pretty impressed. My eyes were nearly injured they rolled so far.

Kind of late to the show. I love our vacation. I work 4 days all of which are training and I have the rest of month off using 2 weeks vacation and get 95 credits. Not shabby.

Do yourself a favor and download StaffTraveler. Way better than asking on random forums.
