Given that you're not a high time flyer, you want to max out your retirement as well as hitting the max disability possible as you're not getting any younger. Also, your sick leave balance just becomes a lot more valuable too.
And if being worried about getting mugged, just pretend you're JA'd and walk around as if you're daring those fools to mess with you. They'll leave you alone.

All great points but right now leaning towards holding out for something a little further east, and without an ETOPS lock. I'll get at least one more decent vacation bid out of the deal too.

And then you’ll be eeyoring around telling people how you waited to upgrade and then got screwed because Age 90, new plague, recession, Martians, etc.

Those thoughts costed me 3 years, could have upgraded spring 2019… had a trip to Spain I didn’t want to screw up, figured one more summer as senior FO, and vacation bid. Finally March2022… wish you luck. I would have done it different in hindsight.
