looks like it might hit mid 2015 hires by end of the yr then. In 2016 is when the hiring picked up so that'll bring it back down to close to 9 yrs to get through them I'd imagine.

They’re talking up to 1000 upgrades next year. I’m guessing as a late ‘15 hire that this year will be my last year bidding vacation as a FO (unless I bypass). Prob looking at summer next year which would be a 7.5 yr upgrade (all dependent on economy, Max 7, and where vacancies are)

along with 2000 new hires. That’s been the word lately…and todays 8-k shows no slowing down, with strong bookings and increased revenue outpacing increased costs.

According to someone on the SWAPA forums, 996 FOs(!) are bypassing upgrade right now. That’s an astonishing number.

Has anyone been keeping track of where the plug CA lands on a percentage basis?

If we add another 800-900 this year and “2000” next year (doubtful) that bypass ## could get pretty high.

Around 62%-63% system seniority.

I’ve only been around ~4 years, is that pretty historical or did it change when ETOPS/LA became a thing?

BTW- Congrats on having to buy some BBQ.

It’s been 62%/1000 bypassing FO’s ever since the AT integration. Covid artificially dropped the number of by passers due to the VSP which is why I thought the upgrades would drop so junior as we reverted to the historical norm.
