top 50 that have opted in or top 10%, whichever is greater.

Don’t forget to factor in paper bidders.

I believe so but you’re then locked for 4 months

Anybody know how to use the individual vacancy view on the SWAPA site? Trying to determine how valuable that information is because it looks like it only shows you what people have as their first choice - which is kind of irrelevant as people senior to you pass through domiciles on their way to where they want to be. Also doesn’t take contingency bids into account. I’m just not seeing the value of that table unless I’m misreading it somehow.

I’m thinking the same thing. I think the most value is seeing the total number of bidders, but maybe I’m reading wrong as well….

SWAPA SRC got back to me.

Summary - there's no way to tell and the call from planning is your first indication of your award and when you are going to training.

So yes, you can bid into what you think is a lance spot, not know for 3 days, then find out you are going to training in a week or a month depending on when they can fit you in. Then someone can bid into your spot the next month and you won't go to training at all if you are the last lance in your base.

Apparently there isn't currently a better way. She said they are working on the process for the next contract, but I highly doubt Lance will survive intact into the next CBA.

I think that whole report sucks. It's very misleading. Who cares about first choices?

Has the company started adding more lance cpt? I ask because it seems based on the report that the lance allowed and filled are not even close.
btw I'm a 2016 hire and could've lanced in lax in Aug. Not anymore tho.
I'm not based in lax just saw that on the report

West coast and I am opted in for Lance. I’m not in the 50/10% so when I got the email it triggered lots of questions, not all which were answered. I’m still far from it unless a lot more by-passers but unless there’s another once in a lifetime event I’m thinking from end of next summer to end of the year my seniority should have a crack at upgrade. Past performance isn’t indicative of future results…yada yada yada. Safe flying everyone.
