I really enjoy flying with 99% of the people here. And on rare occasion you get a kernal, well, it’s kinda fun to mess with them.
I’ve flown at more than one airline and pilots seem to fit into about the same distribution of personality types regardless of the company I worked for. I also flew in the military. It was a little different there. I actually enjoyed the crews more in the military but that might be because of the age most of us were (younger) and the sense of mission. I dunno.

I find that the pilots at WN are much more similarly grouped than my previous airline. Maybe I just want to believe that…who knows.

I think it’ll happen, but it’s comical/frustrating to hear the excuses on all sides.

Tell me about it… a legacy passenger airline widebody FO qualifying for public assistance the first year. I’m surprised that in 2021, both sides aren’t ashamed.

Ugh. Please don’t remind me. Had to pass on a class date because it paid $29/hr and no medical for 6 months. Wife was pregnant with twins. Please don’t tell me what seat I’d be in today.

thanks CALALPA

Time to start drinking.

WN is my second airline. To say the pilot group here is infinitely better is like saying T-Bone Steak is better than Liver & Onions!

I really think the interview process here works. I am not sure what the secret sauce is but we end up with the best. I hope that can continue as the upgrades become more and more of an issue.

It has to do with job satisfaction. Airline #4 now and I swear there’s a correlation between the A-hole percentage and how happy or disgruntled the pilot group is.

I remember that as well and had to contemplate it too back in 2006.
