But suppose it paid move-up, it only would have paid daily reassignment on day 1 and nothing for the following days. The total extra would have been under 3 TFP.

Had I flown this trip as premium from git-go, I would have gotten just over 30 TFP... under LCO, it paid just over 32.

I've said it before, I'll say it again... Scheduling stupidity pays. It'll pay a lot more now, at least for a while.
Rsv has been a cash cow this year. I’m gonna bid it til May and then blanks through summer.

Are you sitting left seat and can you hold a line? Are you bidding blanks in the summer for the better vacation pulls?

Just trying to learn the logic of your game, not being an @$$. I'm eventually going to lose my mil drop ace in the hole so I'm going to have to get good at playing this game straight up.

Left seat, can hold bottom 25% of blanks. Last summer was my first in the left seat and I could only hold rsv so VA pulls paid the min 26.25. With a blank and VA I can get 22-25 days off with a VA pull of 35-40 based on looking at friends who are same seniority who bid blanks. I've got a week of VA in June and I want the ability to elitt through summer to get days off I want/need to do summer things. Other than summer/VA months I plan on bidding rsv for awhile....if a jr lineholder gets 16-17 off and a rsv gets 15-16 off and the guarantee pay is the same to start....you'll make more on rsv as they use you and block will be lower....you just miss out on elitt and the ability to know what you're doing more than a couple days out. I live in base so I'd be bidding different if I commuted or had a drive outside of the rsv callout.

Thanks for the rundown. I'm probably going to give reserve a whirl in april. I'm fairly senior in the right seat in my base; who knows when I'll hop over the pedestal but for now, the schedule is gentelmanly. ELITTable reserve will be nice.

That will be nice once implemented.

I'd like to be able to put 2 reserve blocks together for 6 days total in a row every other week. So work 6 days and have 9 off and repeat. I'm not sure there will be enough reserve inventory to do this via ELLIT when its implemented in 2 yrs.

Have to check buffers too....not sure what the FDP buffer is on a 6 day block....I know you can do it because you see it on overlap all the time. With the ability to straight pick up out of elitt without trading, elitt will be a bigger feeding frenzy than it is now I think. Would have to jump on it right when it opens to do what you're wanting I'd think.

Could do it now if he finds a fellow commuter with a complimentary schedule.
