All this to say 2026 hires may possibly have the chance to upgrade in less than 6 years.
yes, I think late 2021 and early 2022 hires will potentially upgrade in around 5 years. Depending on when the MAX 7 is certified

Well I see my seniority (2015) can hold DEN CA again, and I’ve moved up in BNA by five or six. Dare we say this bid had a good outcome?

I’m a first half 2018 hire. I’m figuring another 2.5 years to be the plug ca in Denver….maybe.

Yeah, guessing on that one is purely make-believe. It’s just not knowable. What we do know is that nothing remains the same. The system is always shifting. Whatever is true today will not be true next year. Hoping that you significantly beat your forecast.

Stopped hiring Feb 20. Started back up Dec 7 ‘21. There’s about 350 on the list hired in ‘19.

Guessing some guys bid out to avoid bad schedules for summer. 2 downgraded. True test will be how many get back into DEN when the west coast churn actually starts. LAS +70 CA by OCT will do more than another 40 to AUS.

Commuters bid out of Denver as other bases grow and they realize that commuting to reserve is miserable.
I could have held it in several bids. It's an easy commute for me, but no way would I subject myself to that. It's almost to the point where anyone displaced as a CA can hold it again if not already there. It's just not going to suck there for a long time. Once hiring stops, it's going to be frozen in time and very senior.

Been keeping up with this thread and doing my best to understand it as an outsider. Can new hires still expect BWI/MCO? I understand ATL is smaller and pretty senior but what does the wait for holding it look like for someone starting in late June/early July?
