It's not a merger, it's a buy out! SWA paid a lot of money for the airline. AT did not pay anything.

Anyone else notice how the SWA fanboys seem to be rabidly protective of a company they don't even work for. Not even the actual employees of said company are that protective.

Not in meltdown mode. Both Merger Committee's are doing the smart thing and not saying anything to respective memberships while they work out the details of the language.

Pilots, it seems, have a tendency to get a bit hysterical when they don't have all the information all the time.

LuvJockey, I'm truly sorry to hear that. I think the DAL-NWA merger is a benchmark despite all its faults; obviously US Air-AWA is an example of the way NOT to do it.

If it went to an arbiter, I think the result would be relative seniority, and SWA guys would simply have to grin & bear it in order to move the company forward. Otherwise...this thing will drag on for a LONG time.
