The 200 for March are the last wave of AirTran conversions/downgrades, no? I'm not quite sure what you mean by "other end of schoolhouse".

Yes, around 240 ish Airtran?? Other end meaning transitioned out of "indoc" and flying the line. Crew planning pointed out that a lot of those guys and gals may go right back to Dal again for the upgrade. Therefore; very busy and hiring is currently "off the table".

I would speculate that as long as they are still attracting quality applicants their criteria will remain unchanged. When the pipeline begins to dry up they will have no choice but to loosen prerequisites.

According to some upgrade guys I was chatting with. GK said to expect 6% growth in 2015 during their luncheon. He also told them to expect 400 new hires starting to interview late Jan-early Feb. he found 49 -700s that are in the process of conversion.

Not that I trust the man one bit, but awesome if true. However, might I point out that 400 NHs does not equate to 6% growth when you subtract out 140 retirements.

I'm wondering 6% growth in what?: fleet, capacity, pilots, all the above? Where did 49 of these mystery 700's come from?
