Untrue and irrelevant.

Swapa was scared skitless of arbitration and worked a deal with uncle Gary. Swapa gave management the -800 pay and international flying in exchange for a favorable integration that they would have never received from an arbitrator. Everybody, insiders and outsiders, knows this to be true. Keep living in denial.

BTW, your Flight Ops is completely F-ed up.

And AT ALPA wanted to slow roll into arbi with no attempt to negotiate in good faith. Put some blame on the man in the mirror.

Not as bad as IT and upper management.

....and a pure staple and probation is good faith negotiations? Are you high right now? Arbitration was totally within reason and an agreed upon resolution. Too bad for us your side played in the gutter and acted like skum bags.

I think my point was, BOTH sides showed poor judgement. Instead of working together to extract some value, both sides screwed up. AT ALPA screwed up as bad as SWAPA. Face it.

Very true and very relevant. The mechanic arbitration read pretty close to what yours would have. It went something like this: Since Southwest mechanics have a much better contract and the AT mech bring very little to nothing to benefit the SW mech the only thing they have to bargain with is their seniority. Which for most lost over 4 years based on their date of hire.

Swapa wasn't scared of Arbi you just were told if you went to arbi that you would get relative which as I pointed out TWO of the seniority lists were merged via an arbitrator and they ended up worse off than what the AT guys got via a contract.

Lets say the At guys went into arbitration and the arbitrator said how can we come to an agreement between the two seniority list? Lets see the AT guys are going to get between 20 to 50 percent raises coming over, a much better contract in just about every regard while the SW guys got nothing except a much younger group of pilots that are now senior to them if they were awarded even date of hire. Yup that sounds fair right. Just like the arbitrator said for the flight attendants and Mechanics. YOU HAD NOTHING TO BARGAIN WITH.

So, please stop with the B.S. that you would have gotten better under an arbitrator.

Ya, it was about as good as your attempt to get relative seniority. That is how bargaining works you start low and work your way up. The fact you think you would have done better in arbitration shows how brainwashed you AT were from your MEC promising relative.

You played a poor game of brinkmanship of trying to force the company to do something it didn't want which was a drawn out arbitration that I am sure would have been contested by AT when they didn't get relative. You negotiated in bad faith and you lost. Get over it.

SWA could have just as easily spun you off and closed you down and you decided to press to test and it didn't work out the way all your MEC morons were telling you it would. Blame them for setting a completely unrealistic bar and keeping you in the dark on what could happen.

Just let it go. How is your life improved by dwelling on something that happened in the past that you can't change? And how is this thread on 2017 hiring numbers improved by bickering back and forth?

I broke it down both ways: both how much time I accrued that year, and what my total time was at the end of each year...

They want to know how many hours you've flown total for the last 5,4,3,2,1 years, individually and as a total.
