Our biggest threat isn't each other, management, or the economy. It is what I hear too much off all the time: "This place is so much better than my last job." "I am just lucky to be here." "Man it's cool to fly 228 passengers, by the way do you like the yellow?" STOP IT.

If they try to push PBS on us there can be no pre awards. Vacation, training, and whatever else gets put on your schedule after the lines have been published and anything touching is dropped at full pay. No changing of the target window after bidding has closed, if the target is 80 and you build a line to 80 hours they can't move it to 83 and add another trip to your schedule to meet the target. A union scheduling committee member has to be present and active in running the bids. A 3 day IOT period to rearrange your schedule any way you'd like. After IOT then they run the reserve lines to match the reserves up with the open time. This will help them as they can place reserves on the days they really need them. Then the normal red/green system for regular open time.
The language would have to be air tight and if we ask for all this the company wouldn't want as it benefits us more than them.

Might I add that they be required to have a certain proportion of 4-day trips, 3-days, and so on... They must withhold a certain % of trips (within each day perimeter) for the ability to trade...

Can we please stop talking about PBS? It's been made clear by the NC, it's going to cost the company the whole ball of wax to get it! They won't pay. All you guys on here are doing is letting the company know just how much we hate pbs or what it would have to look like to consider it. They are not even asking for it. When we asked for industry average early on Jyri's response was ok, then we want pbs. Nothing else about it has been discussed. All you guys are doing is costing us negotiating capital. They know we don't want it so they will threaten us with it to get something in return. Please stop negotiating in an open forum.
Educate your fellow pilots out on the line, not on here

If PBS is categorically off the table, then why didn't the NC say as much during the conference calls?? I listened to the whole first and most of the second, and didn't get the impression that it was off the table....

Call or email your NC. They will answer your questions

Please take snapshots of the pay rates on APC and show these guys the difference. A picture is worth a thousand MUP's. Make subtle comments like "imagine if you made what AA makes. You would have made XX more this trip". I've found that when shown what they would have made it gets their attention.
