At, what, say $50,000 per cancellation that is $3,500,000 for 70 of them (and that is likely the low number).
Before we beat him or her with a gravy paddle and to give them the benefit of a doubt the reserve CA could of had movable days at the end of his block.

Not picking up open time, has nothing to do with a work action!
The vast majority of Spirit pilots are not willing to work for these substandard rates.
That's all!
Some make more money at home, compared to the amount of time spent commuting, waiting at the airport and for hotel vans.
Management trying to throw it back at the pilot group, is another attempt to vilify, while not taking any responsibility.
We are just fed up with the treatment and pay and do not feel like working overtime, nothing illegal or wrong with that.

Agree with you however they will probably pursue legal action and arguably have grounds to when looking at performance before and after.
IMO that will just further inflame the relationship between us and them ultimately exacerbating the situation for themselves. Could be a short term win for them but a long term catastrophic failure.

This. I don't think we will hear from the company about this. They don't want to admit this is hurting them. If they show weakness it will just make the pilots bring more pressure. It's not even summer yet folks. :-) I've got my popcorn ready.
