Just Curious, Who do you think would buy/merge. I know F9 would be a big player for a merge, but would a buyout really be that interesting to the Big 3 (I'd assume they would be the only ones with the financial means for a buyout)?

I’ll bite. If you looked at our rates compared to the others at the time it really didn’t seem as far off. Once the tide started rising I assumed it would raise our boat too. 2 years ago this TA would have passed by at least 85%. Today, meh. I’m not crying as this is a decent raise and I should be senior enough to not worry about reserve no matter how much our staffing requirement is reduced.

The problem is you are looking at only rates. The 2010 might have had closer rates to the Legacies, but it still had sh!tty LTD and Scope. Now with this contract Spirit at least has awesome LTD, decent Scope, DC and pretty good pay rates. It’s not close to a perfect CBA, but it is a great improvement.

We got Gaslighted. That's what happened. Management did pretty much a perfect job. 70% of us fell for it.


I hope they reward themselves with something nice from the 2 years' worth of 43% raises they got to keep. (signing bonus being worth approx 1/5 of Retro.)
