Do they break any over the holidays, or just push right through?

December 25th and Jan 1st training is closed. Not sure about Thanksgiving or Dec 24. I suspect those days are closed too or at least significantly reduced.

And to clarify, during these official holiday breaks they don't give you positive space home? So basically it's going to be Thanksgiving with the classmates at the training hotel or a local chain restaurant that's open.

BTW, is it correct that the Sheraton Plantation is the training hotel? If so, at least there's a mall across the highway to find some black Friday deals!

They don't PS you from training at ALL except beginning and end. It's pretty ridiculous to be honest. Meanwhile big boy airlines not only allow you to PS yourself home back and forth, they also PS your entire family for a family day.

but welcome to spirit.

You now whats pretty ridiculous? How sour some folks are. We get it. You dont like it here.
This is a big boy airline, dont sell ourselves short by thinking we arent. If they spread our training around 4 more weeks, then yeah sure PS people home. I think that would be great but in the mean time, this is how many airlines do training. Its not a damn vacation. The 6 weeks we have you need all that time to get it done. Other airlines take months longer for the same type rating.

Personally, I liked the fast training. Get in, get out, hit the line. Much better than the 4+ months at other places.

Except those 4+ months elsewhere are paid at reserve pay, so what's the rush? Oh right, $1000 a month for pay that's the rush.

Actually not just big boy airlines, at Xjet we could PS home anytime there was a scheduled break of 3 or more days.

Actually now they PS you home and back for week 3 of training. Personally, since I'm there over the holidays, I'd rather push through and work every day, rather than be off and/or come home. I get it though, they have to give the employees the holiday off. I wish we'd have class on the weekends and come home 2 weeks earlier, but again, I get it. No worries, either way. Just thought I'd ask to see if anyone knew, because my class date is November 18th.
