Personally I’m confused about that. Effective date is August but it says classes covered in this bid ( for upgrade ) is July 8th.

Because you go to upgrade July 8th but aren't considered a "CA" for staffing until the start of the following month, where its assumed you'll be on the line at some point. You're in upgrade but its isn't "effective" until the start of the next month, in this case, August

Bottom line is August they will have 4 more CAs..thats it...so basically they are looking at their summer CA staffing and saying "looks good". So Captains, enjoy those X list calls this year when the company melts down, again, like every other summer

FOs had 5 start this month already and 4 starting in June. So basically they are saying their FO staffing is awesome too. Even IF they did a class of 50 FOs for July, they wont be on the line until the end part of summer anyways...FOs, enjoy those X list calls this year when the company melts down, again, like every other summer

Read it again, he said that the NH and Upgrade will not start until July. Look at the class dates, it covers the NH that starts this month, and early July upgrade class date. The class dates and how many are in that class are the important numbers. We don't even know how many NH we will have in July.

It really doesnt matter in the end, newhires in September wont do anything for Reserve pilots getting rammed hard this summer or the impending collapse because our staffing is already showing "lacking" and we aren't even at Memorial Day yet...Ah, the Spirit Summer Stress Test...still waiting for them to successfully pass one.

Fixed it for ya. Insults have more sting when accompanied by a basic command of the language.

And nothing is stopping them from adding more classes or deciding to ramp up in August instead. Or we can run around in a panic and decide that we’re being lied to.
