Quote: DrDhd is one of those ULCC pilots that get hired saying they want to retire here, like the business model, and have a desire to work for Spirit. And then once hired, complain about Spirit and post how amazing the legacy carriers are

Slipped through the cracks.

Time for him to update those apps
Truth hurts - This thread is about Spirit vs United - Spirit isn’t a legacy. Period. You can admit we have faults while still enjoying this place we work at. Jesus don’t get so bent out of shape. We can get better - United better. Next contract - no need to sell anyone short here. This attitude is what will make sure we continue to be lowest paid in the business. Demand better

Sure thing man, “this attitude”

Enjoy fantasy land where “United takes care of their passengers”

Air travel in this country is painful, at best. Once you realize that, the better. UAL is Spirit with first class and a free carry on bag for non Basic Economy passengers. No more,
No less

Im talking about pilot pay, block or better not daily average, and min day pay.

Reference I said next contract in that post.

We have room to improve.

I love it here at Spirt but I’m honest enough to admit United will almost always lead to a better career as a new hire today. To try and argue that being the second lowest paid Airbus pilots in the industry is a better deal than United is delusional. Spirit is a great place to work and you can live a very comfortable life and have a great career but don’t fool yourself into thinking it’s something it isn’t. We need to keep raising the bar here so we can match our peers.

I agree that raising the bar is what we will do and need to do. But the product, out of our control. Wanting a better contract and wanting WiFi on planes are totally unrelated.

And again, can’t wait to see the hundreds of Spirit pilots showing up in a few years for informational picketing. You don’t want to be the second lowest paid Airbus pilots in the industry, get off your butts and fight for it. Surprise me this time around with engagement, I would love to be surprised, seriously.

I agree with everything you said. Who cares how some company treats their passengers, what kind of seats they have, or what their passenger’s socio economic background is. Doesn’t effect me one bit.

I just roll my eyes when I see people trying to compare us or convince people Spirit is better than United or any of the legacy carriers. Also when people justify our low pay for our “industry leading qol.” Spirit is what it is, nothing to be ashamed of, but like we both said we just need to keep working to make it better.

funny the cheerleaders get so defensive when pointing out the areas where we lack. Why does anyone have to make a jump for making an observation? Thread was about nk vs ual. Nk - Lets pursue and get a better contract in 2022.

I hope we revisit this someday and find there is no difference between ual and nk
