There are a certain amount of NCCs the company is willing to accept before they change practices. Not nearly enough people are filing NCCs for violations to the CBA. Not just on hotels but all sections.

It’s only as good as you enforce it. Fly with guys that don’t know how to bid let alone how to know if they got assigned in the correct order

United’s MOAB bid closed and they have a sub 3-year upgrade. Teddy specifically mentioned in the conference call that Spirit is an attractive place for pilots because of our ‘quick’ upgrade……. I wouldn’t be surprised if attrition picks up on the FO side, unless they live in Florida.

Which is good for us spirit lifers. Gives us leverage… A rising tide lifts all ships.

Our white boy pilots aren’t getting hired at UAL

Also remember this come negotiation side when people will start screaming we need to increase first year FO pay. Recruitment isn’t a pilot’s job

Good for them. But let’s not forget the initial GARBAGE covid loa they passed, screwing over the bottom 1/3 and slightly screwing the middle 1/3 of pilots. Next downturn I’m sure they’ll do the same. Better stick to driving Miata’s to build up the savings.

Our management and union reps were able to score a sweet deal for senior guys who wanted to get paid to stay at home and for the junior guys to stay on property.

I’ll stick with the management that seems reasonable and union representation that has our back.

This was the one and and only time our management actually seemed reasonable….. DO NOT take that as an indication as to how things will go in the future. People senior to me know better as well…..

I’d kill for another extended EIL leave. Loved being gone for the pay

Strange. I've flown with former Spirit pilots at United. Almost positive they were all white boys but I've never done a junk check with any FOs.

Our (United) newhire classes look like a loaf of wonder bread. From looking at the class pictures, it's running at least 85% white boys. When hiring 200/mo, you run out of women and minority pilots pretty quickly. There just aren't that many out there that are pilots.

As for IROPs, we can self-help for a hotel and transportation. If you have to wait longer than a handful of minutes on the phone, it's not an issue. No need to get preapproval from a CP or anyone else. And I'm not booking a Red Roof/Motel 6 unless those are the last hotel rooms within an hour radius. YMMV.

"Our flight deck should reflect the diverse group of people on board our planes every day. That’s why we plan for 50% of the 5,000 pilots we train in the next decade to be women or people of color"

Well better start finding more women or "people of color," or back to hiring more wonder bread
