Well, yes I do. Do you not like what you see when you look at yourself in the mirror???
But, seriously… this was never about me vs. Spirit Wings. Somehow I answered a question someone asked and someone else got offended and started to throw out 2015 Dr. Dao ( a REPUBLIC AIRLINES company and an over aggressive rent-a-cop). BUT WE ALREADY KNEW THAT BUT ITS EASIER TO SAY THINGS THAT ARE ONLY PARTLY CORRECT, KNOWING YOU’LL GET SHEEP TO FOLLOW YOU. Internet win! Yeah - good for you.
But, like I said…I only want the best for all of us out there. We all have our own issues to deal with, some bigger than others. Be safe out there.

It’s pretty pathetic. Guy is in his late 40s/early 50s and he is bragging that he can either sling gear on a 767 or be the plug of a narrow body, 2 aircraft to pick from (who really cares)
And who cares if you’re “about to be” a certain percent as an FO. It’s like my nephew saying he is 5 1/2 years old. Is being in the top 2/3 FO category something to flex over?
Be careful with those Europe trips. I know you have a hard time working backside the circadian rhythm, it’s why you had to quit FedEx. So might want to take that plug position as a CA, enjoying airport ready reserve like our FAs do.

again you’re soo off target my “friend”
but rather impressive the amount of research you did on my background…
should I be concerned about you and beechjet hanging around my trailer park trying to “jack my brown box delivery shipments?

Who's Republic? It says United on the side. That is what the public sees and all that matters. How about forcing a passenger to stick their dog in the overhead bin where it suffocates to death in flight. Are you going to try to pass the blame on that to your regional carriers too? I think not.

Ugh.
This thread is a disaster. Let’s be honest, nothing matters. I just walked off a UA Jumpseat after a 3 hour flight of laughing and chatting with the captain and FO. Ironically we talked about how dumb these arguments are. All of us want to go to work, make money, and have some flexibility. Some airlines work better for certain individuals than others and vice versa.
Every airline has its issues. Are you likely to get a chair to face wearing black and yellow in SJU right now? Sure. Was United 8 out of 10 in the 2021 Airline Quality Rating that is strictly based on statistics such as on time, baggage, denied boarding, and customer complaints? Yes.
Let’s get this thread back to actual comparisons rather than “mY pAsSeNgErS mAkE MoRe mOnEy tHaN yOuR pAsSenGeRs”.

What a dumpster fire of a thread. I’ve been at UA 6.5 years and have enjoyed my time immensely. But it’s still a job and I want to be on the clock as little as possible. We have a lot of really good things about working here and a few that could always be better. If I didn’t get hired at United, I would not hesitate to have applied to Spirit. My good friends there seem to have a lot of positive things and some not so pleasant things to say about their daily life on the line.
Gosh, sure sounds like we all have a lot in common. Bunch of good people trying to make an honest and have a nice time away from home while doing so.
As for the guy coming on here bragging about his 767 trips to Europe or holding a guppy Captain seat with his few years here... big deal dude. Flying 5 trips to Europe a month isn’t the definition of living the dream and there is a reason why captain seats on the NB are going so junior. Clearly the pay is not worth the sacrifice of wearing a 4th stripe at a legacy airline. Let’s all be humble and grateful we are all here seeing our industry surging forward.

Love how you internet tough guys jump on the bandwagon and throw shade at a “white boy” or “elitist”, as most of you are here proclaiming that I am somehow - without a clue …
I doubt any of you have been in my shoes and since you haven’t - you aren’t walking I them now!
Enjoy your career. As I’m about to be 35% seniority in the 767 flying to Europe or bid 3 different bases as a Captain on either the A320 or B737. But hey, you guys are sure chill with your CNN rhetoric that I see on here!

This guy gets it. There’s so many variables as to what works better for one or the other. We’re all somewhat married to the airline that hired us, so I get why people take things a little personally, but tone it down. The more someone tries to argue that “my airline is better than yours”, the more it comes across as self validation.

Does anybody “in the know” know how our health insurance compares against other major airlines. I feel like ours is good, but I don’t want to settle if there is far better. I’m just curious for the next contract.
if anybody could provide examples of what major airline and the monthly premium for a family. Or what areas of insurance we are lagging in... I appreciate it, don’t know have much people I know at other majors.
