We have 4 gates in ORD. 4-5 in DFW. I mean wtf are we going to put 300 some airplanes? FLL is basically maxed out, hence MIA. Maybe you could fit a couple more in LAS, but not sure on that.

More bases are going to happen here at some point in the next few years. It’s pretty much inevitable.
My comment was due to LAX base opening being the most persistent and long lived rumor at my current/Cyio's past airline, hence the dejavu reading about the same here.

Is there a long term plan in ORD? The T5 expansion is presumably to move more airlines there as T2 is replaced with the new international terminal. Any plans for Spirit to move to T5?

I guess when the new terminals and construction are finished, I’ve heard multiple things. I’ve heard everyone that isn’t AA or United will be in T5 (and that we should gain a couple gates), but then I heard on a Townhall that we would be moving to H (but I’m pretty sure H will still be AA gates after the new terminals?) I dunno. But I did hear something about moving to H and getting a couple more gates when everything is finished in ORD. Who knows. I believe we are slated for a couple more when everything is finished. No idea when that will actually happen though.

I’ll walk to the Tri-Rail and ride it for $5. (Free if you’re an FFDO…)

But “boo” you do you and go pay the $60 each way with Uber, I guess.

Brightline is free for LEO and FFDO. Never paid that much for an Uber both ways. Cheers

You're right. It's more. At this very moment, at 2202 EST, an Uber from MIA to FLL is $75.45.

I had to get a ride home recently because I missed my commute and uber was $35 more than Lyft. Always check Lyft as well.

Christ… When did anyone say to cab/Uber/Lyft from one airport to another? We were discussing using tri rail vs. Brightline between the cities and the additional cost to go from the station to the airport in their respective cities. Wow
